Chris was born in Plymouth and has lived in the South Hams all his life. Angling has been his passion since he caught his first Dogfish at the age of 4, and at the age of 14 he took the Junior Club record for a 6lb 5.5oz Plaice caught in the Salcombe Estuary. This record is yet to be beaten.
Chris has worked on many commercial fishing vessels, both in the local area and whilst in his twenties, travelling in Australia. In Australia his angling experience was enhanced catching Red Emperor, Snapper, Morgans Cod, Hammerheads and a Tiger Shark, not to mention numerous Tuna and Mackerel.
Chris holds his Yachtmasters with commercial endorsement, is a member of the Salcombe lifeboat and is also fully trained in First Aid, Sea Survival, Fire Fighting and is highly skilled in navigation and search patterns. Chris is also currently undertaking his coxwain training with the RNLI.
